Professional Development Workshops

Trinity College offers Professional Development Workshops in education, counseling, and administration that combine theory with hands-on experience. Taught by experienced and highly qualified faculty, workshop courses usually involve a combination of in-class and guided learning activities, and they may include related laboratory, field, and other out-of-class activities. Professional Development Workshops offer students an intensive experience covering educational problems, issues, and aspects of curriculum and methodology. Workshops may meet on Trinity's main campus or at other off-site locations as indicated. Student teaching or independent study is not available through the workshops.

Workshop courses are intended for teachers, counselors, administrators, and other school personnel seeking to earn graduate-level credit to meet in-service, certification, re-certification, and continuing education requirements. Participants must possess a bachelor's degree from a regionally-accredited higher education institution. All participants must submit a completed Workshop Application, along with a copy of their final undergraduate transcript, bachelor's degree diploma, or Standard Teaching License.

Persons wishing to use workshop credits for certification or re-certification are encouraged to obtain prior approval from their respective school system or employer to ensure that the credits are suitable for this purpose.
