Minutes

December 1, 2005

Present: Child, Harris-O’Brien, Langan, Shpunt

The committee met with President McGuire to discuss the results of the faculty survey developed, distributed, and compiled by the Faculty Welfare Committee. Some issues surfaced with regard to the need for sharing information and processes.

President McGuire then distributed charts, graphs, and statistical profiles she had compiled which document faculty workload, faculty distribution across programs, faculty “time-on-campus” and a number of other profiles. A discussion about the implications of these profiles followed.

The meeting adjourned at 1:15 PM.
