The Campaign for Trinity’s Second Century
Trinity’s Board of Trustees has approved a capital campaign with a goal of not less than $30 million to support the priorities that Trinity must achieve to ensure a vibrant Second Century for the university. In the same spirit that compelled the Sisters of Notre Dame and generous benefactors to build Trinity’s historic campus to meet the needs of the first 10 decades of Trinity’s life, Trinity’s leadership now calls upon the Trinity family and large circle of friends to support the creation of the campus that will serve Trinity’s future generations with that same commitment to excellence and large vision for the future of this vital educational mission to the world that is Trinity in the 21st Century.
The Campaign for Trinity’s Second Century seeks significant gifts to build Trinity’s unrestricted reserves in order to support Trinity’s most important priorities, including development of the Trinity Academic Center, enlargement of the endowment, and to meet the ongoing need for student scholarships.
Trinity is deeply grateful to all alumnae and alumni, benefactors, families and friends who have supported this great university for decades. At important moments throughout Trinity’s history we have seen facilities built to answer critical needs: Notre Dame Chapel, the Science Building, Sr. Helen Sheehan Library and the Trinity Center for Women and Girls in Sports. Each time, benefactors recognized the need for Trinity to have first-class facilities that would ensure Trinity’s leadership in higher education, and came forward with generous support.
At this moment in our history, the Trinity Academic Center will provide the contemporary platform for the high quality of education that is the hallmark of Trinity’s past and its future. This new campaign is immensely ambitious, but thanks to your constant loyalty and generosity, we are confident that Trinity will have a vibrant and fruitful Second Century. For all that you have already done, thank you! For all that you will continue to do, thank you!
