Litt Co-Authors New Book- “Literacy Teacher Education”

Dr. Deborah Litt, Associate Professor of Education, Director of Curriculum and Instruction, and Program Chair for Reading, co-authored a new book titled, “Literacy Teacher Education: Principles and Effective Practices”. The book is published by The Guilford Press and is scheduled for release December 9, 2014. The text highlights the knowledge and pedagogical methods for successful teaching, and provides activities and other tools that support teacher development.

An editorial reviewer quotes, ” Much of the art of teacher education is deciding how to design learning experiences where teachers actively engage with and reflect upon the content being shared. This book offers a rare glimpse into successful practices that fellow teacher educators use when teaching or designing professional learning opportunities. Readers will be eager to immediately implement several practices from the book.”–Denise N. Morgan, PhD, Department of Teaching, Learning, and Curriculum Studies, Kent State University

The book is available for purchase through Amazon and the Guilford Press.
