Moitra and Watts Present at 2014 Transforming STEM Higher Education Conference

Dr. Karobi Moitra, Clare Boothe Luce Assistant Professor of Molecular Biology, and Dr. Diana Watts, Associate Professor of Business Administration and Program Chair, presented at the 2014 Transforming STEM Higher Education Conference in Atlanta, GA, November 6-8. Co-sponsored by the Association of American Colleges and Universities (AAC&U) and Project Kaliedoscope (PKAL), the conference examined innovative teaching strategies, professional development, and the increased need for baccalaureate degree seekers to master complex STEM content, competency and literacy.

Dr. Moitra and Dr. Watts presented their interdisciplinary work, titled, ” Interdisciplinary Teaching in Action: Connecting the Dots between Business, Science and Society.”

Dr. Moitra reported high interest in their poster presentation and that they had a number of people sign-up to collaborate on future projects. She quotes, “All in all, it was a great meeting. We learned a lot and networked with a number of people. Hopefully, we can continue to work with our wonderful students on future interdisciplinary projects.”
