Moitra Presented at 2014 Biennial PXE Research Meeting

Dr. Karobi Moitra, Clare Boothe Luce Assistant Professor of Molecular Biology, along with Trinity students Sonia Garcia, Michelle Jaldin and Clementine Etoundi presented at the 2014 Biennial PXE Research Meeting in Bethesda, MD on September 22-23. The students presented a poster on the genetics of the rare disease Pseudoxanthoma elasticum (PXE) titled, “Novel Variants in ABCC6 and Modifier Genes in PXE Patients Identified by Next Generation Sequencing” . After attending, Dr. Moitra and her students expressed seeing meaningful breakthroughs in translating basic science to potential clinical application.
