Haskins continues to lead trainings on problem gambling

Dr. Deborah Haskins, Counseling Program Director and Assistant Professor of Counseling, recently led two training sessions at the Maryland Center of Excellence on Problem Gambling at the University of Maryland.  These sessions were:

  • Problem Gambling Treatment 101: Facts, Diagnosis/Assessment, Subtypes
  • Problem Gambling Treatment 201: Co-Occurring Disorders, Family/Couple Treatment, Pharmacological Treatments

Dr. Haskins continues to serve as the president of the Maryland Council of Problem Gambling, which received 3 years of funding with the Maryland Center of Excellence on Problem Gambling to train mental health counselors, preventionists, youth professionals, and others to better understand gambling disorders and to provide awareness, prevention, research and especially treatment of problem gambling.
