Dr. Raul Tovares, Associate Professor of Communication, presented a paper at the Fourth Symposium on Politics and Language in Merida, Mexico. The paper focuses on Ignacio Lozano and his role in the creation of a global identity in the Mexican American community through the pages of the Spanish-language newspaper La Opinion, which he published in Los Angeles from 1925 until his death in 1953.
