Trinity Partnerships

Community Partners

Trinity has programmatic partnerships with a number of local community groups and national organizations that play a significant role in the Trinity Center for Women and Girls in Sports as a venue for their activities:

DC Public Schools
The D.C. Public Schools have a long and strong partnership with Trinity. Trinity is working in cooperation with D.C.P.S. to extend the role of Trinity students from D.C. classrooms to the academic and athletic programs as well.

DC SCORES
DC SCORES, a program that combines youth soccer and educational attainment, is engaged in ongoing collaboration with Trinity to expand the ways in which Trinity's campus community, students, and faculty can work together to benefit the youth in D.C.

Girl Scout Council of the Nation's Capital
The Girl Scout Council of the Nation's Capital is already working closely with Trinity to develop plans for weekend and summer programs that will be held on Trinity's campus. These plans will include large national programs that will attract Girl Scouts from around the nation.

Washington Tennis and Education Foundation
The Washington Tennis and Education Foundation and Trinity will work together to develop after-school, weekend and summer programs for children on the new tennis courts that Trinity is building as part of the Center.

Women's Sports Foundation
The Women's Sports Foundation is a national organization founded by tennis champion Billie Jean King, and led by such notable female champions as Olympian softball player Dr. Dot Richardson, soccer Olympian Julie Foundy, and swimming Olympian Donna DeVarona. Trinity hosts the WSF's annual Scholar Athlete Awards Program and is developing programmatic initiatives with the assistance of the Foundation.
